The Register of Property Occupation Act 2021 (“the Act”) came into operation on Thursday 24th February 2022.
The Act establishes a register of property occupation for Gibraltar and creates a legal obligation on every person living in Gibraltar to provide details of their property occupation within a period of 3 months.
Any person who fails to comply with this requirement, or knowingly provides false information, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine up to £5,000.00.
